Founded in 1917, Gekkoso is a beautiful historical art store located in Ginza, Tokyo passionate about developing and making its own art materials – colour and paper. The shop has a distinctly nostalgic European flavour, but with the graphic clarity and quality one comes to expect from Japanese culture and aesthetic.  

Hard to find outside Japanese, we are pleased to be able to offer a comprehensive selection of Gekkoso’s notebooks – 5 different coloured covers for 5 different types of paper: dotted, light, mid and heavy-weight paper, as well as a mixed coloured paper, great for collage and pastels. 

In the yellow sketchbook, a generous 80 sheets of general purpose paper, slippery and good with soft pencils ; also makes a great scrap book.
